A season on Ogden series
Day 2 April

Day 2 on our series of  videos with the author and friends on his local water Ogden reservoir.

All videos will show catching rainbows ,setup methods and reasons for this approach.

Action videos and discussions  with fellow anglers

The initial setup was at around 5.6 ft deep to fish the levelling point where the dam wall meets the dam bottom. My thinking, the fish will patrol along this joining point looking for nymphs, buzzers, terrestrials .

As the day went on i decreased the depth as the fish seemed to have moved up into the top layers of the water ,used the other rig, but with a indentical fly without the tungsten bead head to allow the fly to be longer in the upper layers .This did the trick and i continued to catch.

I did however have a lean spell and decided to move over to the lea side of the bay, again it worked and i caught 3 fish in a row before they backed off .I decided to call it a day .

It was a wonderful day ,both the fishing, meeting some old friends and the weather
