Deadly Duo F.A.B. and Cormorant

This combination of flies has been, for me very successful during the summer months when catches are hard to sustain.
Using the sweep method continues to produce great results, using an Di3 or Di5 line and counting down the required depth is a great method.

While the line sinks to the required depth ,the point fly will retain its position on the surface till there is a requisite enough line sunk to drag the F.A.B. under ,as you retrieve the fly dives to the counted depth then continues on its path back to the rod tip in a sweeping motion.

During this action its is a great idea to stop retrieving and allow the FAB to rise towards the surface ,many takes are with this method.
