The Ugly Bug
As the title suggests ,this is a big ugly fly ,designed to support flies underneath needing to be presented on the drift or,static.
This fly is proven to be very tasty to stock fish ,who,have no qualms at taking into their mouths to devour
How to fish:
Fix the ugly bug onto the top dropper,have your fly or flies underneath this floating fly .
Cast out and let the ugly bug do its trick of enticing rainbows to the fly.
The rainbows will either:
- take the fly off the surface
- Swim round looking at the surface ugly bug.
- take one of the flies underneath the ugly bug
Patience is the best method,allow the fish time to take the fly ,a few small twitches maybe all that’s needed to make up their minds.
Give it a go you will be pleasantly surprised I’m sure.
